Reviewing the past year has highlighted that at 37 I’m starting to become injury prone (how old do I sound). Last April I wrecked a knee as I started to use clipless pedals for the first time, it took 8 – 9 weeks to heal and cost a fortune in physio.
September seen Hip Flexor hell break out and in early December I got a foot condition called Plantar Fasciitis.
As I understand it I’ve damaged the arch of my foot where it joins my heel.
Every time I put weight on my foot its like someone is drilling up into my heel whilst putting my arch under a blow torch.
As I move and the foot stretches the tore ligaments there is all hell to pay.
What ever I do from here on in I need to give careful consideration to avoiding injury.
